To love a person is to learn the song in their heart, and to sing it to them when they have forgotten.
"For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."

Judy Garland

Your wedding ceremony is a beautiful and meaningful expression to begin your lifelong commitment to each other.

We can help you create an unforgettable wedding ceremony including suggestions for readings and music. You can write the ceremony of your dreams yourselves, we can furnish sample ceremonies for you to choose or modify, or we can create a unique ceremony just for you.

  • Choose a secular or civil ceremony.

  • Choose a non-denominational spiritual ceremony—traditional or contemporary.

  • Create a theme wedding—Celtic, Renaissance, Victorian, Swing, Forties, Native American, etc.

  • Couples in which the bride and groom come from different religious backgrounds may include traditions from each faith as part of the ceremony.

  • Include a parent’s blessing ceremony, candle ceremony, or rose ceremony.

  • Include a children's blessing in the ceremony.

  • Read each other a poem, the lyrics of a song, or a brief paragraph that has special meaning for you.

  • Ask for reflections from your guests as part of the ceremony.

  • Spiritual readings by loved ones.

  • Include pets.

  • Light a Unity Candle or stand in a Unity Circle.

  • Guests may participate in singing or saying a blessing for the couple.

  • Let your imagination be your guide!

Other services available: Renewal of vows, baby blessings, memorials, rites of passage, spiritual counseling, holy unions, commitment ceremonies, etc.

By law, ceremonies in North Carolina may be performed by ordained ministers or magistrates. Ordained ministers, priests, and rabbis are the only officiants in North Carolina who can perform wedding ceremonies at the couple's choice of wedding location.  Magistrates are located in each county seat and perform marriages in government offices and some are located in the county jail on weekends. They do not go on site and cannot accommodate more than a few witnesses to the marriage ceremony.
