| To
love a person is to learn the song in their heart, and to sing it to
them when they have forgotten. |
| "For
it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not
my lips you kissed, but my soul."

By law,
ceremonies in North Carolina may be performed by ordained ministers or
magistrates.
Ordained ministers,
priests, and rabbis
are the only officiants in North Carolina who can perform
wedding ceremonies at the couple's choice of wedding location. Magistrates are located in each county seat and perform marriages
in government offices and some are located in the county jail on weekends. They
do not go on site and cannot accommodate more than a few witnesses to the
marriage ceremony.
