ABOUT CERTIFIED COPIES: If the bride is going to change her
last name, she will need one certified copies of your
completed marriage license. If she has a passport she will need to
change, I suggest you get 2 certified copies. They are $10 each. Wake
County Register of Deeds will give you a small request slip when you get
your license. Fill out the request and make out your personal check to
Register of Deeds for the total amount. Place your check and the
request in the envelope with your marriage license that you will give me
at your rehearsal. After your wedding, I will have your two
witnesses sign the license and bring it home with me and complete my part
and sign it. Then I will mail it in to the Register of Deeds with your
check and request. (Johnston and Orange County Registers of Deeds require
cashier's checks so I cannot send in a request for you to these counties.)
