Susan Fadero and Michael
Pearce planned to get married on the beach at Fort Macon on August 2,
2009. A heavy rain storm caused them to move it indoors at the last
minute to the Dockside Marina in Morehead city. They sent Beth this note
afterwards:
Dear Reverend Beth Curtis,
Mike and I want to thank you for officiating our wedding on August 2 in
Morehead. The weather wasn't ideal. You made it so special. Your words
were genuine and heartfelt.
We feel blessed in so many ways! God has given us a second chance and we
plan to embrace every second of it.
Thank you so very much!

Dear Reverend Beth and
Charlie,
Thank you so very much for everything! I don't know how--after a 15
minute conversation--you could know exactly what type of wedding we
wanted. It was awesome!
Michael was very impressed--as of course was I--and said it was the best
ever!
Again--thank you so very much!

Sara
Toothman and Patrick Brenneman were married on the beach in front of the
house they rented at Emerald Isle.
Their
Thank You note reads,
"Dearest Reverend Curtis,
I am writing you to express how deeply grateful Sara and I are for
you efforts toward our wedding. Truly, the ceremony became a
sun-filled, joyful moment of public speaking and wedded matrimony. Your
careful, patient and wise guiding hand was instrumental in presenting
our simple, proud joining. As the ocean washed ashore behind your
beautiful voice, nature and meaning mixed--all was right. We can only
hope that your part in the day was as rewarding for you. Simply
put--thank you for helping us start. It is so wonderful to begin.
Love, Patrick Brenneman. |

This is a
thank you note Beth received by e-mail from Jim and Kathy Richards whom
Beth married in a friend's backyard on May 2, 2009.
"Reverend
Beth -
Thank you so much for last night - our ceremony was beautiful, special
and meaningful. I know God has watched over us from the beginning and
last night was His seal of approval for me! Within one week everything
worked out with such ease and YOU made our ceremony so incredible it
will be in my mind forever. I am so glad you write out what we say in
the ceremony because you are right I don't remember much about it except
looking into Jim's eyes. Thank you again - every guest loved it and
even the children thought it was 'so cool'.
Love, Jim and Kathy |

Dear Reverend Beth,
We wanted to write
to you and tell you how grateful we are that you officiated our wedding
renewal vows on the beach at Emerald Isle. We couldn't have asked for a
more beautiful day, beach, or ceremony. The fact that Jason made it a
surprise on our 10-year anniversary made it that much better. I don't
know how he found you, but I couldn't have asked for a more perfect
minister for our event. You were so kind to our family and us. I loved
the blessing you gave our children as well. I never would have thought
of that and it was perfect. I hope all is well with you and may God
bless you in all your years to come.
Sincerely,
Jason and Janet Monn

Cape Lookout Lighthouse was the
spectacular setting for the wedding of Kertin Wagner and Stuart
Michael Cole.
The wedding couple traveled all
the way from England to be married by Rev. Beth on April 5, 2007.
Family and friends joined them from England as well as Germany.
(The brides family did not speak English and so parts of the service
were translated into German and read by Charlie Curtis. Rev.
Beth and Charlie always do their best to help couples have the most
wonderful wedding possible.
Kerstin said, "we want to say
,'Thank you again for a wonderful wedding ceremony at a wonderful
place. We had a great time and it wouldn't have been possible
without you and your guidance leading up to the wedding."
Stuart said, "To reiterate what
Kerstin has just said, thanks for helping to make our 'big day' such a
success! I' sure you'll remember the boat trip for quite a
while."

Reverend Beth,
I would like to thank you for the beautiful service. The things you said
about marriage and about how we were married in spirit even before then
really and truly expressed how we feel about each other. I could not
have asked for a more beautiful wedding!
