Since her graduation and ordination from The New Seminary (NYC) in 1994, Reverend Penelope has performed weddings for hundreds of  couples who wanted to be married by a minister, but were not affiliated with a local church.  She has found that today’s couple is very involved in the planning of their entire wedding, including the ceremony. Gone are the days when mothers of the bride made all the wedding arrangements, and the pastor of the local church gave the standard prescribed wedding ceremony.

Since moving to the coast, Rev. Penelope has been contacted by couples from all over the country to officiate their dream wedding at the beach. Wilmington and the North Carolina beaches are very romantic places that many couples are drawn to as a wedding site.  Whether they are choosing the beautiful historic downtown with its majestic old homes and charming bed and breakfast inns, or the sandy shores of Wrightsville, Kure or Carolina Beach where they can kick off their shoes and dip their toes in the surf during the wedding ceremony, the North Carolina Coast offers couples romance!! 

Penelope meets with local couples to help plan their wedding ceremony and provides them with sample materials that they can choose from or modify.  For out-of-town couples these materials can easily be sent by e-mail and most of the wedding planning can also be done by phone and e-mail.  She has performed weddings for couples from as far away as Alaska, Arizona, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, New York, and many from other cities in the Carolinas who just wanted to come to the Ocean to be married.
 

The wedding ceremonies she provides are sacred in tone, and universal, not specific to any denomination. Penelope has contacts with many local wedding vendors and can assist couples with finding the right people to help them create the wedding of their dreams. Penelope is a caring and experienced wedding professional who works with couples to create a beautiful and meaningful ceremony and officiates their wedding.
